Since 2001 Polaris Land Surveying has been an industry leader in providing high quality, cost effective land surveying services. Based in the Cowichan Valley, Greater Victoria, Salt Spring Island, and Powell River, we are a land surveying firm qualified to practice on both provincial and federal lands. The management team at Polaris includes Brent Taylor, Jordan Litke, Andrew Christian, Michael Rogers and Alex Gorelik.
Polaris does not have a conventional ‘head office’. Instead, we have a virtual office environment, where our team members are based throughout our service areas and, in some cases, in locations remote from our service areas. Team members are assigned to specific projects depending on their location and expertise. With this business model, we are able to go to our clients, rather than have our clients come to us. Many of our clients are located in Victoria, Sidney, the Gulf Islands, Duncan, Chemainus and the Sunshine Coast and we have worked on projects throughout British Columbia, including the Lower Mainland, the Cariboo, the Kootenays and the Peace River District.
The Polaris team consists of managers and contractors. The work and employment opportunities listed here are opportunities to enter into a contract agreement with Polaris to provide specific services. As a contractor to Polaris, you are an independent business with all the freedoms and responsibilities that go along with that. Each contract arrangement is unique and can be customized to fit the needs of the contractor and of Polaris. Many self-motivated individuals do not like to be hindered or bound by the typical 9-5 employer/employee structure. The Polaris model provides this type of person the opportunity to flourish and enjoy the freedoms the contractor model offers. Our philosophy is that together we can harmoniously meet the needs of the Polaris clients.
